The inspiration for G & G Limousine Services of Atlanta, LLC was our grandmother and great-grandmother, Thelma Cagins, affectionally called “Big Mama.” She was the first entrepreneur in our family. She was a hair stylist and an amazing seamstress. We grew up watching her run her businesses from her home. She also worked with a local funeral home as the hair stylist for the deceased. Big Mama was a woman of integrity and hard work. She instilled the values of faith, hard work, and education into her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Our drive to succeed as entrepreneurs is based on the success that we saw as Big Mama thrived as an African American woman business owner in the 1960s and 1970s. She provided her clients with quality service(s) and products. She was our role model! As a company owned and operated by four African American women, G & G is striving to emulate the business mindset that we saw in Big Mama and to leave our footprints in an industry in which few women have ventured.
